Baseball Strength & Speed
Areas of focus in this age group speed & agility development and introduce the athlete to basics of strength training. Athletes will begin using weights to develop strength endurance and learning how proper technique can help prevent injury. Speed and first step quickness will be focused on in our speed school portion. Footwork, lateral movement and balance are covered through agility drills. Vision training is progressed or started depending on how long the athlete has been with us.
The high school program builds a complete all-around athlete with sport specific movements included. Strength, power, speed, explosion, balance, agility, vision and flexibility are all a part of this program.
Velocity + Arm Care
Next Generation Velocity Program came about because of the quest to reduce injuries in baseball players’ shoulders and elbows. We believed as the shoulder becomes healthier and stronger through our proprietary protocols, velocities started rising. We have seen a minimum gain of 4mph in our students and as much as 17mph in an 8 week program. The program and results have been tested and monitored by the USC medical school, and is scheduled to be published in medical journals. This is by far the safest way to increase velocity because the program is all about making the shoulder healthier. The greatest thing about the program is it is FUN; thus the players enjoy doing it and it doesn’t seem like work. Each player will be tested, after the test a personalized program will be written to achieve the maximum results. The player will be retested at the beginning of week 5 to see if the program needs to be adjusted to continue to see the proper results. After completion of the 8 weeks program, a final test will be taken to see the gains achieved. A maintenance portion will be available after the completion of the Velocity program. This maintenance portion will enable the player to maintain a healthy shoulder and can be started at any time during their season.

Batting cages are a great way to keep your swing sharp during the season and off season. Inside Sports is proud to feature the Ultimate Trainer System, the latest in automated batting systems from JUGS. The Ultimate Trainer allows each batter to select either fast pitch softball, slow pitch softball or baseball, then select one of four pitch speeds ranging from 38 mph to 75 mph, and finally select one of four pitch locations for the absolute best in situational batting practice in an automated system. The balls that are pitched are sting free balls making them easy on the hands with aluminum or wood bats. Helmets and bats are available to borrow while hitting in the batting cages.
The Ultimate trainer batting cages can be rented for team usage or individual practice at any of the four stations, and they are available to the public as well on a first come first served basis. We have also added three new members only cages that are reserved for our yearly Indoor Training Facility (ITF) members. Batting Cages can be rented for $45 per hour.
